The host, Ruchika Bhattacharya, is a mental health educator and community advocate with a Master’s degree in Psychiatry from McGill University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Stony Brook University. As someone who has immigrated across continents, she combines academic training with lived experience to shed light on the emotional, cultural, and mental health challenges of immigration. Her work focuses on normalizing these experiences and helping individuals build resilience through awareness, connection, and community.

Born and raised in Paris, France, Aurelie Ky is the daughter of parents who immigrated from Cambodia in the 1980s. She studied psychology and neuroscience in the United States, where she learned English, and later earned a master’s degree in neuroscience in Canada (McGill University). Now based back in France, she has worked for six years as an online French and English language tutor. She also created Education Monsters, a podcast on multicultural education that explores traveling, studying or working abroad, discrimination, anti-racism, and challenging stereotypes, and she is currently writing children’s books about emotions and neuroscience.
